In response to an invitation, on the occasion of a neurosurgery’s advanced course, took place at the A.O.R.N. “A.Cardarelli” – Centre of Biotechnologies on December 11th 2014, the Doctor Alexanderu Tascu visits the structure and along with the responsible of the course, the Doctor Pasqualino De Marinis expresses the will to cooperate for the realisation of scientific exchange in the field of medicine.

In this regard, the A.O.R.N. “A.Cardarelli” – Centre of Biotechnologies representatives, the Doctor Pasqualino De Marinis, the Doctor Santolo Cozzolino and the regional manager of “Mattone Internazionale” project, Lara Natale, visit on March 4th 2015 the Bagdasar Arseni Hospital of Bucharest.

During this visit they sign the “Memorandum of Understanding” with the representatives of the Romanian hospital, Viorel Bacta and the Professor Radu Mircea Gorgan.

The memorandum has the aim to achieve a scientific collaboration between the two institutions (link memorandum).

The Leonardo Association 2.0 sends to the Bagdasar – Arseni hospital a letter of introduction declaring an interest for the cooperation activities undertaken. Subsequently the Romanian Hospital formalises a declaration of intent accepting as sponsor of cooperation activities the Leonardo Association 2.0 (link lettera).

The first line of intervention to achieve the objectives set out by Memorandum, has been the organisation of training courses in Microsurgery held in Bucharest from 6th to 10th July 2015.

The first course has focused on the following disciplines: Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics

The second course has focused the following disciplines: Otorhinolaryngology, Plastic surgery, Maxillofacial surgery, Odontostomatology.

The second line of intervention, which is materialised during the “Meeting E.RO.I” event, took place in Naples at the Centre of Biotechnologies AORN Cardarelli from 28 to 31 of October.

At this event have taken part: The Bagdasar – Arseni Director, the Professor Radu Mircea Gorgan, a delegation composed by two doctors and two members of the Romanian Ministry of Health, the Doctor Diana Monica Isaila and the Doctor Vica Iuliana Costin.

The next meeting is scheduled for July 2016 in Bucharest.
